Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the Echoless developer ("we", "us") covering the Echoless desktop app, the Echoless Pro subscription, and this website (together, "Echoless"). By installing or using Echoless, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Echoless.

1. What Echoless is

Echoless is a practice tool for streamers. It shows a generated practice chat on your PC that reacts to your voice and, with Pro, to your game. The viewers in that chat are AI, not real people. Echoless never posts to Twitch, YouTube, Kick, TikTok or any other platform on your behalf.

2. Who can use Echoless

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if higher, or have permission from a parent or guardian. If you use Echoless for an organization, you confirm you may accept these terms for it.

3. Your license to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Echoless app on computers you own or control, under these terms. The free version is free to use without an account. Pro features require an active Pro subscription and a license key, which can be activated on a limited number of PCs shown on your account page.

You may not:

  • copy, sell, rent, share or sublicense the app or license keys;
  • remove, disable or bypass license checks, or distribute Pro content extracted from the app;
  • reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it despite this restriction;
  • use Echoless in a way that breaks the law or the rules of the platforms you stream on.

4. Accounts

Buying and managing Pro, voting on the feature board, and posting suggestions or reviews use sign-in with Discord. Keep your Discord account secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you think someone has accessed it.

5. Pro subscription, billing and cancellation

  • Price. Pro costs $4.99 per month, plus any taxes shown at checkout. Payments are processed by PayPal under PayPal's own terms.
  • Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically every month until you cancel. By subscribing, you authorize PayPal to charge the monthly price on each renewal date.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from your account page ("Manage subscription") or directly in PayPal. Cancelling stops future charges; Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Pro may pause until payment succeeds. The free features keep working.
  • Price changes. If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies to your subscription. If you do not agree, you can cancel before the change takes effect.
  • Offline use. Pro keeps working offline for a grace period between license checks; the app will ask to reconnect if it has been offline for too long.

6. Refunds

If Pro does not work on your PC or you are not happy with it, ask within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund it.

How to ask. Open your account page, choose "Request a refund" and tell us briefly why. We review requests promptly and refund through PayPal to the account you paid with. If you cannot use the account page, contact us at the contact address on our website with your Discord username instead. Your reason is kept with our billing records, as the Privacy Policy explains. Renewal payments are generally not refundable, but we will consider any request in good faith and will always follow the refund rights your local consumer law gives you.

If you live in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a digital subscription. When you start Pro, you ask us to give you access immediately, and you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal may end once access starts, to the extent the law allows. Our 14-day refund offer above still applies.

7. Acceptable use and honesty

Echoless is built for private practice. You agree not to use it to deceive anyone. In particular, you will not:

  • present the Echoless chat or its messages as real viewers or real chat;
  • use Echoless to fake engagement, inflate viewer numbers or chat activity, or mislead sponsors or platforms;
  • use Echoless to harass, impersonate or target real people.

If you show the Echoless window on stream, make it clear that the chat is AI-generated.

8. Suggestions and reviews

You can post feature suggestions and reviews on this website after signing in with Discord. Your Discord display name and avatar are shown next to them. You keep ownership of what you write and give us permission to show it on this website. When you post, you agree to these rules:

  • Be real. Reviews must describe your own experience with Echoless. One Discord account per person; no vote manipulation.
  • No spam. No advertising, referral links, repeated posts or content unrelated to Echoless.
  • No impersonation. Do not pretend to be another person, streamer, brand or member of our team.
  • Keep it decent. Nothing illegal, hateful, harassing or sexual, and no one's personal information.

We may hide, edit for formatting, merge or remove suggestions and reviews that break these rules or these terms, and restrict accounts that repeatedly do. You can delete your own reviews at any time.

9. AI-generated content

Chat messages are generated by a language model running on your PC. They are fictional, can be wrong, repetitive or inappropriate, and do not represent our views. You choose the model and the content filter level, and you are responsible for how you use the output.

10. Third-party software and services

Echoless works with third-party software and services, including Ollama, language models you download, whisper speech models, official game integrations such as Valve's Game State Integration, Discord and PayPal. They are governed by their own licenses and terms. Echoless is not affiliated with Valve, Twitch, YouTube, Discord or Ollama.

11. Changes to Echoless

We may add, change or remove features, especially while Echoless is new. If we remove a core Pro feature you are paying for, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.

12. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. In short: audio, transcripts and chat never leave your PC.

13. No warranty

Echoless is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, or any effect on game performance. Nothing in these terms limits warranties that consumer law does not allow us to exclude.

14. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to Echoless is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This does not limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

15. Ending these terms

You can stop using Echoless at any time. We may suspend or end your access to Pro if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by sharing or reselling license keys, after giving you notice where reasonable. If we end your subscription without cause, we will refund the unused part of your current period.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia. Courts in Tbilisi have jurisdiction, but if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims there.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes, we will give you notice in the app or by email at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using Echoless after that, the new terms apply.
